A stunning new installation carried out in the Cheadle Hulme area of Stockport – completed late December 2020.

Originally the driveway was in a completely open state, leaving the home owners feeling very vulnerable and feeling targeted after a spate of recent burglaries in the local area.

We was contacted to provide an expert opinion on what would be best suited to enclose the front of the house and driveway and determined that a automated sliding gate system would be best suited to the application.

We project managed and worked in conjunction with the customers own building contractor (who erected the beautiful rendered pillars), to allow us to install the floor track, support posts and all relevant cables at the appropriate points of the installation to cause minimal disruption to the site and ensure that all aspects of the works were completed in the correct sequence.

The ‘Whistler’ design of gate was chosen by the customer to fully enclose the driveway and garden area to provide privacy, security and style to the front of this stunning property. Finished in anthracite grey (RAL 7016) to match the existing window frames and doors, this gate certainly is within keeping of the properties design and character.

The gate is automated using a Nice Robus motor to allow comfort and easy access as well as providing great levels of security for the homeowners. The Nice Robus system has built in obstacle detection and force limitation functions, meaning that the gate is safe as well as secure.

A Videx GSM intercom system was installed to allow visitors to call up to 3 preset numbers when trying to gain access to the property. The homeowner is then able to communicate to the person at the gate and allow them access from a simple press of a button from their mobile phone.

Another advantage to the Videx GSM system is that you are able to programme additional telephone numbers into the system to allow them to call the intercom system and operate the gate – meaning the gardener, postman and even the milkman can have their numbers saved into the system and gain access; alternatively, there is also a keypad module fitted at the bottom of the intercom system so a 4-6 digit code can be entered to operate the gate – this can be changed periodically at the customers request.

You can see why the customer is very happy with the outcome which now provides: added value to the property, security and peace of mind, ease of access, style and elegance.

All products are covered under a minimum of a 2 year warranty.
