Electric ALUMINUM Sliding Gate Finished in Anthracite Grey – Cheadle Hulme, Stockport
A recent installation carried out by ourselves in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, SK8 of an electric, automated aluminum sliding gate in the CL07 Whistler design from StarGates UK. The gate is finished in the ever popular anthracite grey colour, RAL number #7016 along with matching support and keeper posts.
The aluminum gate is covered under a 20 year guarantee and is virtually maintenance free with only a basic cleaning procedure required to keep this beautiful gate in excellent condition for many years to come. All of the automation and access control products are covered under a 2 year warranty for added peace of mind.
We worked in conjunction with the clients building contractor who erected the rendered brick pillars to meet the time frame provided. We installed all of the necessary cables, posts and track prior to the pillars being completed, allowing for a seamless installation which certainly adds curb appeal to the front of this stunning property.
The system is operated via a Nice Robus sliding gate automation system, which provides effortless and silent operation as well as built in safety devices such as obstacle detection and force limitation functions – meaning that in the event of the gate coming into contact with a person or vehicle, it will stop and reverse back. In addition to the in built safety functions, a set of photocells are installed across the gate opening to prevent it from closing onto a person or vehicle that is within the jaw line of the gates travel.
In the event of a power failure, the Nice Robus motor has a built in manual release system which is very simple and user friendly. Simply, insert the motors dedicated release key and a handle is then released which allows the gate to be placed into manual and opened or closed. Once the power has been restored, simply push the handle back into position and the system will reset itself.
Access is controlled by handheld remote control transmitters and a Videx GSM intercom system. The Videx GSM system calls up to 3 preset numbers when a visitor presses the call button outside of the gates; this then allows the client to answer the call, communicate with the person trying to gain access and then ultimately open the gate all from the convenience of their mobile phone! Just some of the fantastic features of the Videx GSM system is a dial to open function. Allowing preset numbers to call the gate and open it from anywhere in the world! This is a great addition for properties with multiple users or for large families!
